My Mission:

Growing up as a huge tom boy, I went through some pretty awkward and embarrassing moments in regards to beauty, health and relationships.

I'll always remember burning my nose with toothpaste trying to get rid of a pimple and walking around with a black scab about 2 inches wide for over a month when I first started High School. Since it was a new school, everyone thought it was a birthmark and never asked me about it, until it mysteriously disappeared...

Or the constant battles with my big, puffy, frizzy hair.

If it exists, I've probably done it to my hair... the weird hairstyles I used to concoct, the pounds of creams, waxes and conditioners and the awkward moments of having someone grab my hair and it being solid as a rock.

Point is, through my experiences, I've learned a lot, what doesn't work but most importantly, what does!

I'm also a nerd when it comes to cosmetic science and love to read up on the latest innovations and research. Applying what science has found to be most effective, some common sense and practicality is my ultimate goal when it comes to beauty, health and life in general.

It is my greatest wish that I keep you from those awkward moments. In theory, I'd like to think I'm talking to my 13 year old self, telling her what I've learned and keeping her from wasting a lot of money. Because I've done that too.
